Our Journey

Since we opened our doors on 25 July 2016, we've received exceptional interest from potential investors, franchisees, and companies looking to buy out our brand at its young age - simply because of its potential to scale.

Our sibling founders, Joey & Vannessa are involved in every aspect of the business to this day. We create our own recipes, work our numbers, photograph our food & create our own content while constantly fostering supplier relations and improving the business model.

We opened our sister restaurant, Alter Ego at The Esplanade in November 2016, while Poke Theory steadily opened a couple of stores every year. Eventually, the decision to sell Alter Ego off was finalised in April 2019, in order to focus on Poke Theory’s regional expansion.

Why Franchise With Us?

What started out as a little dream between siblings, soon grew to Singapore’s favourite poke brand. Poke Theory's success is attributed to its attention to great quality and affordability of its menu despite dishing out high-cost ingredients like sashimi-grade fish. Spearheaded by outstanding branding, efficiency in operations and easy scaleability in our product offerings, it's a business model that boasts a lean start-up cost that is attractive to many.

We take great care in our expansion plans; growing carefully but quickly. We now have a Smart City Kitchen at Cross Street, and eight franchisee-owned stores in Somerset, Novena, Bugis, Marina One, Kent Ridge, Great World City, Change Alley Mall (Chevron House) and Paya Lebar - the last three having opened up in Q3 2020, performing even during these trying COVID times.

We opened our first international store in Surabaya, Indonesia in August 2019 and waiting on a Bali expansion once COVID times stabilise. We are looking to expand further in Surabaya and Jakarta too.
